Nursing Education, CNS Clinical Nurse SpecialistChristine Smith Schulman lectures on a variety of trauma and critical care topics throughout the Pacific Northwest and nationally, including the AACN National Teaching Institute and the ENA Scientific Assembly. She has published in Critical Care Nurse, Dimensions of Critical Care Nursing, and The AACN Procedure Manual (5th ed). She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wyoming and her Master of Science Degree from OHSU.

After working as a critical care staff nurse at Denver General Hospital and Oregon Health & Science University, she was the Trauma & Surgery CNS at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington for 8 years. She was the Chair of the AACN Research Workgroup in 2006-2007. She has served as Clinical Faculty for Seattle University, University of Washington, and Oregon Health & Science University Schools of Nursing.

Known for her ability to help nurses understand complex concepts, Christine’s extensive clinical experience and sense of humor make her presentations interesting, enjoyable, and clinically relevant.
